Default Just got original new Lexus cloth interior

I just got the winning bid on a new Lexus cloth interior (actual Lexus interior) it for a 1990 ls400 but I am putting it into my 92. My leather is in excellent shape except for my passenger seat. I will post pics of before and after once I install it.

Yeah me too. Apparently he has some sort of connection with a dealer or Japanese source or something because he sells different makes. I'd you think about it it should be good since it was not exposed to the sun.

Lol. I bought the same thing from him a week back.prob wont use them till spring. Have to find a good shop to put them in.

He must have a few of them. No one bid on mine so he took my offer after it ended. Nice person we exchanged a few emails and shipped fast. He also sells other car interiors.

Its what the man said. I just find it odd he has two sets. Haven't taken a really good look at them yet. But i found a post with good cloth seats with pics and compared them. Looks legit to me.

A lot of JDM Celsiors were fitted with the cloth seats as they were prefered in Japan, I don't think they were ever heated unlike the leather option.
They do stand the test of time better than the leather option, there was one in a UK breakers recently and they still looked fresh with no obvious wear.
Sunroofs/Moonroofs were also rare on these models.

I'm very happy with my cloth interior. Its also a JDM model, without heating in the seats. I prefer cloth interior because of our climate. most off the year its pretty cold over here.

I love my cloth interior. I prefer it over the leather too isnt sticky in the summer time and as cold in winter.

the no sunroof thing bites though! I would kill for one .

I'd love to see some pictures of the cloth seats on just to compare with my cloth and see how wore out mine is .

Be happy that you dont have the sunroof !! These things always start to leak water after some time. I hate them.

I've posted these photos before but the cloth seats in the 90 LS I drove from new to 2003 were absolutely like new when I sold the car. No fading of the cloth but the car was rarely parked outside day or night and I never allowed food to be consumed in it - not one single time. These photos were taken at 13 1/2 years just before I sold the car.

The leather in my 2000 LS400 is holding up pretty well at 12 1/2 years .... didn't think I would like it but it's nice not to have to worry about stains.

And, yes, seat heaters were optional on the gen 1 LS400 with cloth seats - very rare but a photo of one equipped that way including with seat position memory has been posted on this forum.
