hey guys my friend recently just bought his 94 ls400 he is not im computer so i thought i can help him out and yes i did some search and googling but i did not get straight answers so here am "i guess sometimes you just gota search with the right words"... anyways last week he just replaced his seats with ones from a 98 ls400 and it fit nicely looked alittle newer

so here are some questions i got

-does a 98 front end not bolt on to the 94 by replacing fenders, hood, lights, bumper?

-whats the difference between the 89-94 vs 95-97 front end? any details if so will anything bolt on up?

-every where i am looking i see parts starting from the year 95+ is the 94 body any different?

-found some aftermarket led taillights for 95+ will it work for the 94 model?

-just purchased coils from a member here on the forum waiting for monday so he can ship them in (the thing is his car is the 97 model will it fit the 94 because i was looking at websites for new coilovers and the years were starting at 95+ of course another member told it will fit fine

i know i got so many question but i am needing straight answers thanks ahead to the ones that are able to take their time and chime in

1- no.
2- completely different, no.
3- completely different chassis, very limited interchangeability.
4- no.

Certain coilovers are interchangeable, Megan, BC Racing, PBM, and i believe Stance will work on all year LS400s. Tein will not.

Visors will work but will stick out past the windows on the rear doors of 1st gen cars, search the forum and you'll find pictures of what I'm talking about.

pretty much no body parts are interchangeable from first ('89-94) gen and second ('95-97 and 98-00) gen cars without significant modification.

"Bolt-up" is a relative term if you desire to fit different generation body parts onto the car. They bolt up with custom fabrication and cutting. As far is direct interchange, PD covered it.
