Default Any interest in a Coilover and brake change how-to?

Just spent the afternoon installing my coilovers and new pads&rotors front and rear. I took a lot of pics as i figured I might put together a how-to if there was any interest.

let me know as i can do it as a full tutorial or just a basic how-to.

Cheers

Yes post it up! There aren't any how-to's for the 95-97 LS's for changing the brakes f&r WITH photos. Only ones i found are all words. Lame! and might as well throw up the coilover tutorial also for those years

Well brake changes aren't that difficult if you know a few things, but how to's are always good especially for those starting to learn. I know when I installed my coil overs there weren't many tutorials, ended up following one for a supra lol so the coil over one would probably help out a few people.

a brake tutorial like this one i put up years ago and is currently the 4th link on the UCF2x faq? lol
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-00-ls400.html

rear brake pad/rotor uses the same instructions (though different parts) as the 1st gen cars, so lexls' tutorial is fine.

I guess you could improve on this one...
http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/suspension/fshock.html

Its for 1st gen but it is exactly the same for 2nd gen.
And if you can do the fronts, you can deffinatly do the rears

Weird, I got the fronts in no problem, and the rears were a pita on my 1st gen.

the fronts are not that hard, the rears are tricky because of the angle lower shock mount gets inserted into the knuckle at. definitely took some doing.

PD,
i did not see your brake how-to... maybe i can work with what you have to make an improvement or 2 if needed.

Its not that bad if you know how...

the rears are cake if you know where to apply leverage. basically you take a long pipe and lever the entire carrier/multilink assy. down (after unbolting the shock assy.) and guide the bottom of the shock inwards and down, then pull it out horizontally.

Lets all argue about which is harder...
OP go ahead and make the tutorial. Someone will deffinatly use it.
I would use the lexls one and just add to it.

On an unrelated note...
