LS400 to manual help ?
What flywheel should i use?
I here beams flywheels fit if you slot the crank holes? what is the pcd of the bolt holes on a 1uzfe crank? Will an altezza flywheel do the job?
Does anyone know will an altezza clutch suit a w series gearbox? (same splies)
Thanks

www.lextreme.com for more info, there's no bolt-on flywheel setup for a 1uz. the flywheel you use depends to some degree on which transmission you're using. The clutch will depend on the flywheel obviously, and trans.
www.1uzfeswapkit.com is a popular source for manual trans conversion parts.
mkiv supra LSD is the only one that MAY work, and only the internals will change in, not the complete pumpkin.

If you're serious about the swap I suggest you install clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder. It was the worst part, in my opinion. And make sure you consider which slave cylinder/throw out bearing you will use before deciding master cylinder. I didn't think it through- chose a SC300 clutch master cylinder and T56 hydraulic throw out bearing. The SC300 clutch master cylinder has a 5/8" bore. I have the push rod adjusted to the limit and it just barely disengaged the clutch when I press down the clutch pedal. I will be installing a 3/4" bore clutch master cylinder tomorrow.
If you go with a W58 or R154, the second link PureDrifter provided will make your life easy. I used that adapter plate to mate the 1UZ automatic transmission bellowing to a W58. And used a 3S-GTE clutch and pressure plate.
The shift linkage will need to be lengthened about 7". Driveshaft Shop recommends a 3.5" diameter aluminum driveshaft if you want a one piece shaft. If you do go with a 3.5" shaft, the linkage will also need to be raised about an inch. And you'll need to "massage" the transmission tunnel for clearance.
With some modification someone swapped in a mk4 supra pumpkin. I think some welding was required at the least and he swapped in the entire rear crossmember.
There is (was?) a Japanese web site listing lsds for the ls400 but they were something like $2500 or $3500.
