Question Fluid or Air noise? Whatzit?

I have a new noise in my otherwise silent 91 LS400. This is the finest car I have ever owned. I hope to have it all restored this year. Lately at 136,000 miles and only occasionally, I get a noise that sounds like its coming from the passenger floor ot glove box area that sounds like a bunch of those old plastic pick-up stix falling. Its almost "rain stick" like. Perhaps like a bubble passing though a fluid line? any ideas? only when the vehicle is operating.
I have raised lowered windows, moonroof, etc. changed fan speed on the ac/heater, still it does it sporatically.

I hope to get a 98 or 99 in a year or so, but dont think I can part with my 91. It just rocks in every way.
