Put my winter wheels/tires back on early so I didn't have to buy new tires right now - that alternator was bad enough, and I couldn't keep driving on these (plus this one had a nail in it, too - the other one was on the tail end of its life).

possibly, but i doubt it. i got the set off ebay. i think your thinking about jeebus's ls400 before he painted it red.

his is one, there's also another car that was owned by a forum member who got into cop troubles years and years ago (also in cali) and his car was repo'd, bought, and parted out iirc. same headlight setup (Q45 retro)

Today I replaced my hood struts... So nice not using a jack handle to keep it propped open!

All you needed to do was pull them sideways! Been doin that for years with struts

Doesn't matter what it was doing, you can still pull them sideways which pulls them off line so they scrape the side so they open, hold & close. That's the quick/free fix.
