Well, good news for me. I took the seatbelts apart and removed the pretensioners to unlock the seat belts. The seat belts work mechanically now. It does not reel in as good as since I had to take off the coil spring to get to the pretensioners. I have to give it the extra pull and reel in if i want to get it all the way back in after the initial unbuckle reel in.

I can atleast drive the car again till I find airbags, seatbelts. Which will be hard to come by.

I've been on car-part every morning for a while. I've been trying to located a trunk lid too since mine is tweaked a little..

damn, glad you're okay. This has me worried since I ride a little bit lower and my UCAs bang a lot (yeah, I've been lazy and haven't cut my towers yet). I've hit some pretty hard bumps too. Luckily haven't had this happen. Hopefully it never does.

My UCAs are touching the towers just sitting still.

Maybe you could pull the SRS fuse till you modify the towers?

sounds odd, about 3wks ago i was driving 99 LS4OO through construction zone, where they had ground down the road. was going 45ish... any way hit a man hole that was still at original hieght. BANGING Towers! traction,vsc,check engine all started flashing. I took a side road and the motor started to grind. It took a few moments to get it into N, then coasted to an oil can Henry's. smashed steel oil pan through the sump and bent crank also cracked the aluminum half open. Cracked steering rack support and tranny wide open. Bags still in perfect shape, no deployment.
You were going more than twice as fast, with less damage and bags deployed.
