So last week I decided to drive my car (91 LS400) from Danbury, ct. to new York city. Keep in mind the pothole infected environment that I will face. Made it there but then on the way back my air suspension motor blew out which meant the most terrible bounciest ride I've ever felt since I was 16 driving a 90 maxima with bad rear struts. So I had a choice to either fix air suspension or convert. So I bought some Megan Racing EZ street coilovers figuring I can achieve an acceptable ride height and have nice handling. After getting a decent deal on amazon I had my mechanic install it for me and after he was done he told me that the fronts couldn't go any higher and the rear was at the halfway point for height adjustment. The height looks nice but now I only have an inch from the catalytic converter to the ground. Seems to scrape on every hard bump. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? I've researched on the forum but only found people mentioning putting megans on 91 LS400 but never really explained how they achieved a decent ride height without bottoming out or rubbing against the fenders.

Thebry the problem is according to my mechanic the fronts are at it's highest height which boggles my mind that I can't adjust it to at least have my front wheel not rub the fender

Anybody with experience with megan EZ street on a ucf10? First time having a car lowered.

you need to raise and lower perch on the coilover not the spring preload

your mechanic doesnt know how to adjust coilovers, find one that does.

reset the spring perch so that the spring is just barely snug, then raise the shock body out of the lower bracket until you can just see free space in the monitor hole on the side of the lower bracket, and the threaded shock body covers up half the hole. This is the absolute highest you can have the coilovers safely.

i found this on youtube for anyone who is adjusting coilovers for the first time. The one in this video happen to be megans on a 8th gen Accord but typically they all operate the same way. Hopefully this helpful to anyone who are installing coilover sus.

installed it backwards (unlikely)? like PD said, your mech does not know how to adjust them. iirc they can be at stock height if you wanted!
