Default Coolant Temp Gauge Doesn't Rise to Middle..HELP!!!!

Hello Guys my Coolant temp gauge was fine yesterday it usually rises to the middle & stays there, but today I noticed it didn't even rise it stayed all the way down. Can someone tell me what would cause this?? I want to say the sensor is bad but not sure. All Help is welcome.

Thanks!

Probably sensor or cluster. There are 2 ETC's on the 400. One for the cluster and one for the ECU.

There are two engine temperature sensors on the 400. The main one is for the computer the second one is for the gauge. I believe the one for the gauge is on top of the engine. The lower ETC is the main sensor. If the sensors check out OK then the cluster may be malfunctioning.
