Bad night for the LS
Last night going home after dinner. I heard a bunch of cop sirens coming from a intersection, so I made a stop. After a minute or two this older gentleman rams into me. His story is that he panic and he stepped on the gas instead of the brake pedal. He hits me and this other car that was next to me. The LS took the damage pretty well considering he gassed it instead of braking. The GF and I are shooken up from this and felt kind of sore when we got home.
He was a nice guy and luckily he has insurance.
So what do you guys think? Its a 91 ls400 with almost 200k miles. Do you guys think its a total loss from an insurance point of view?

rule 1: After an accident like this make sure you and your gf get yourselves checked out by a doc, the shock will keep you from feeling the worst of the pain but it's too easy to hurt yourself because of that.
Sorry or your loss, but i'm pretty sure that's totalled. with the combination of age and mileage, and the fact that the entire quarter panel would have to be replaced along with the rear bumper(assuming there's no frame damage) the repairs you're looking at are more than the car's worth in the open market.

Glad you and your passenger is alright. Get checked out, the after math won't sink in until a few hours or 1-2 days later. Sorry for the damage but on the bright side if the insurance company considered that totalled you can get a 2LS
