Default 99 LS Pinstripe

I know many people don't like pinstripes, but does anyone like them on a more or less stock 2.5LS.

I'm thinking about running a thin black double stripe "just for the hell of it" down just below the hip line that starts at the front turnsignal goes just above the door handle and back to above the tail lights. If I like it I'll pay someone to paint it on and add the Lexus logo in a spot.

You can sort of see the location in this photo.

Thoughts?

if you like it, do it. you already know what people like, but why does that matter? it's your car. maybe don't add the logo.

I guess I was hoping someone might chime in that has done it. I don't think I've ever seen a UCF20 with a stripe. I found a pic of a LS430 with one that I liked, but that doesn't really translate.

don't like them at all on stock-ish cars.

tolerate them on most modified cars.

like them on very few heavily modified cars.

I like the pinstripe alot. I first saw it on an LS430 on the Futura Brakes home page.

Also there are some on cars that rep their crews:

Agreed, the wheels look awsome. Think I'll do a search and see if they'll fit my 91....

Pinstripes like that were available as dealer installed options in all 11 model years of the LS400. They were tape stripes that were so well done that it was hard to tell they were not painted. The first thing I did when I bought my 2000 LS400 in 2003 was to remove the pinstripes with a hairdrier and car wax. I thought they were tacky but each to his own.
