Default Car Hesitating When I try to Accelerate

I have a 1994 Lexus LS 400 with 242,900 miles on it and the car keeps hesitating when I try to accelerate. It will get up to speed if I barely press the pedal, but I'm afraid to even pull out in traffic going 15 mph! I have changed the plugs and wires, tried fuel injection cleaner, cleaned the MAF Sensor, I don't know what to do can someone please help me out!

Check for vacume leaks. also how is the idle? Does the exhaust smell like raw gas? What did the spark plugs look like?

I had a similar problem when I bought mine. I went though the ignition (3 bad leads) replaced ect (cracked connecter) and replaced timing belt (off 2 teeth). Hope this helps.

Had a similar problem a few months ago, ended up being the coil packs. Mainly the one below the battery tray. Good luck.

no cel codes, check engine flashes on then goes back off and doesn't store any codes. The spark plugs were burned pretty clean. I think i'm going to try the coil packs next. I found a vaccuum leak going to repair that today and if that doesn't do it im trying the coils next.

By the way the idle is terrible is at about 600rpm. That vacuum hose did not fix it.

did you try cleaning the MAF, TPS, or throttle body?
all of these contribute problems if not cleaned for a while.

The RPM is supposed to be at 600 give or take 50. What happens if you have it in Park and slam the gas? Does the RPM go up or stop at a certain point, such as 2500? I think you should check the coils, starting with the driver's side.

driving it acts like it doesn't have any power. I ordered a new coil for the driver's side. I'm gonna see if that works.

I once cleaned my MAF and posted about it and several people said that the MAF on the 1st gens shouldn't be cleaned and that cleaning it could ruin it. Mine was fine after the clean but there may be something wrong with your MAF because it can cause these symptoms. I would expect I to cause a CEL though.

Oh wow I wasn't told that! that could be an issue it isn't throwing a check engine light but it is running very rough. I guess I'm going to need one of those also.
