am i the only one with a low mileage 96 LS400?
I recently inherited a 96 LS400 with 68,000 miles. I have had numerous offers on the car. My grandma was the original owner, and I am now the second.
The interior and exterior is PERFECT. not a single defect. I am considering a trade in for a new lexus, but I love this LS.
I have 2 questions: should i keep it? and if i sell it, how much should i ask for it?
Any help would be appreciated

Keep it, you will probably never find another in the same condition or such low mileage.
My 1994 with 77,000 miles was declared a total insurance loss but I took a cash settlement and had it repaired by a local body shop as after looking for a replacement car I couldn't find anything close to mine in condition or mileage.

Keeping or selling all depends on if you have or want another car to drive and maintain. This is a fantastic car though if you don't see yourself driving or wanting to drive it, let it go.
Location varies and ball park would be $4,500-$5K with all mechanical maintenance done. If the timing belt and other major 60K -90K service has not been done, this will ding you ~$800 as any buyer will need to do timing belt, water pump, seals, idlers and all fluids.

You have to remember that regardless of how low the mileage is, it is a 16 model year old LS400 without the modern features that many people expect and require - HID headlights, stability control, side air bags. If it had covered only 1,000 miles, it wouldn't be worth much more.
Enjoy it as a memento and drive carefully. Its insurance value is low and it could be totaled by a minor collision.

i would keep it as you will not get too much from the dealer in a trade. you can always sell it private party for $7k and use that for a down on a newer lexus but i honestly love the simplicity of these older lexus. they have their own uniqueness and frankly i feel they are better built, sans the cool amenities newer cars come with.
