Default Headlights fading more now on 98

Washed the car last night and the fading is really starting to show. I think the increased sunshine isn't helping either.

I use Meguiar's PlastX time to time but like most Meg's stuff it will gradually fade off.

I think I need to try that buffing ball or some wet sanding. Anyone done either recently?

I buffed the lights on my GS several months ago and now they're yellowing now. I wet sanded and polished my grandparents LS430's lights back in December of 2010 and to this day they still look good.

do it the legit way. wetsand with 800 grit, 1500 grit, then 2000 grit sandpaper. wetsand side to side, up and down, side to side in that order. then use rubbing compound polish it with a buffer. i usually finish it off with a wax / sealant. that's how i do my own restoration on my own vehicle and others who come to me. simple and easy.

sand them down, polish them out, then (crucially) CLEAR COAT THEM! (or have a shop do it). when you sand the lens you remove the top most coat of plastic (which is the UV protective layer).
