Default Starting Woe's

Two times this has happened. Try to start my 97 LS and clickety click click, won.t start. Volt meter sez 12.97. trickle charge anyway still get clickety click only. next day cranks like nothing was ever wrong. I'm no tech and have no clue, so can you help point me in the rite direction.

yup sounds like the starter is going out. Those symptoms are usually intermittent, but you should replace it to avoid being stranded somewhere.

+1. Had that happened to me before...stranded in front of the post office. I was about to call the tow truck while talking to the dealer on the cell. You can try to crank it over and if it doesn't start...turn it off and wait a little bit and try again.
