Default Engine undercover

What up CL I have a 1LS with 237,xxx miles and the engine under cover is withering away slowly, the plastic is cracking at the bolt holes and i am using large washers and bolts to hold them in. Are there any alternatives that other members here have tried on their 1LS as far as replacing the engine under cover?

Thanks in advance

I wonder too, i took mine off to find a leak. I've been driving with it off since yesterday and I need to find a way to bolt it up and flush.

well if you stay out of water/rain you will be ok, but if not your belt will wear faster. I was able to find one for 10$ at a salvage yard that worked on my 96. I would also check craigslist.

I changed my oil the other day, and my under cover is held on by bolts with multiple washers... I know you can buy them new from Sewell online parts and get a discount or you can get one on ebay.

My 92 didn't have one i bought one from sewell and bolts last fall. Had to modify some holes was off just a bit for bolts. Just a lot of cash for a plastic shield but i like the looks of it being on. And does a nice job of protecting engine.
