Ls400 on Varrstoen Es 1.1.2 picture request!
Hi guys I'm looking to buy a set of varrstoen 1.1.2, but have not seen any on the Lexus ls400, either online or person. I like these wheels, and was thinking about getting a set for myself. I was just wondering will 19x9.5 +12 front, and 19x11 +15 rear both clear my 90 ls400? My friend, freinds is selling that set and can get it for me for a reasonable price. Btw, I have tein adjustable coilovers all around, and soon going to fender roll.

19" wheels on static LS400's are tricky to pull off. They can look really good on LS's equipped with air. Some members on here have done it sucessfully static to name a few Kevin (19" RPF1s) Erik (19" veilsides) Robbie (19" Schwert SC2) and it looks good but they have all done significant pulling of their fenders as well as shock tower modification in order to achieve the same ride height that one can get on 18" wheels. I am an advocate for running 18s on a 1st gen LS because #1 its cheaper to get tires and 18" wheels are easier to find in decent offsets. The front width 9.5+ 12 will definitely clear your calipers but you will DEFINITELY need to run a lot of negative camber in the front with only a roll. to run a 9.5 +12 you will need at least -3.5 degrees of camber and even a baby pull on the front fenders. The rear size you listed x11 +15 is very wide for stock fenders. You will have to run maximum camber and stretch as much tire as possible to fit it without a significant fender pull.
As for the shock tower modification I mentioned, basically what that means is that due to the nature of the double wishbone front suspension setup as you lower the car more and more, the upper control arm approaches the shock tower from the inside (from underneath) and it will slap the metal on the inside. This is undesirable so people will modify their shock towers by cutting a hole in it for the upper control arm to come up through, instead of hitting the metal. If you want a low ride height on 19's you must do this modification because a 19" wheel is bigger and will make your car sit higher off of the ground than an 18" wheel will.
My last thoughts are, if you can, try to avoid replica wheels as their quality can be at times questionable (cracking, bending etc.) but if you're getting a good deal then thats life. In the modded car world you really get what you pay for. I am not saying that non replica wheels are impervious to cracks and bends but that it is FAR less likely to happen to a quality researched and tested wheel.

From the looks of it probblay not going towards that direction now. Thanks to Radiokiller for ur will advice. Probbly will be staying in the 18's like u mention. Puredrifter, just some green tein coilovers that I bought from this jdm Import local shop. I'll give the model number once I take off the wheels.
