Have you driven the regular suspension? I do not have the air suspension but the regular is quite smooth and forgiving over rough road.

I bet regular mode is the same as stock non air but I have read sport mode firms up the suspenion and height mode is for mainly clearance issues.

The seller didn't know because this was his late father's car.
Same things happened when I bought my LS a few years ago. Seller said the cd changer was broken and knocked 200 off the price. Turns out the CDs were just upside down lol.

LOL I asked the seller to try the CD down side up while I arranged to pick up the car tomorrow. it worked. We were both laughing. Then he wasn't happy that I got the price I did. So we both agreed to do 100 more at 8850.

I just drove the car back. 3 hours of enjoyment. Was falling asleep so drank too much coca cola. I think my feeling for the car is more like

Does the air suspension tighten up as vehicle speed increases? It handles pretty well for such a tank of a car. Sweepers at highway speeds are confidence inspiring.

The car is so clean inside, i think i'm going to wear thin cotton gloves when driving it so the mint steering wheel won't get oil from my hands.

Also does the aerodynamics help with avoiding bug guts on the windshield or did I just get lucky today. My MR2 got a lot more bug guts on the same trip a couple days ago.

Nice catch. The maintenance history is key for these cars and looks like you got a good one. It's weird to see an LS w/o wood steering wheel and shift ****, but have heated seats, namakachi, and air suspension. I've never driven one with air suspension; I bet it feels great.

One thing about the aerodynamics, is that with the air suspension, it lowers the front of the car on the highway automatically, which lowers the cd by .01. I think it's .27 on air suspension, .28 stock, which is still very low and quiet. It's also quieter if it has the original windshield.

Besides the TB/WP, look at the front strut rods, they may not be bad now if it was driven casually, but considering the age, they will need to be in the future.

EDIT: I just noticed that it doesn't have the original floormats (either that, or you took them out and put generic ones instead). Try to get a set, I think you can still get a set new from the dealer. A car just doesn't look mint with out them.

That's interesting to know.

I also noticed this morning the front of the car is super low but once I started her up, the air struts raised the car up slowly. The left tire went into the fender. Does your air suspension do that?

From what I have read is that the compressor obviously kicks in when the car is turned on to pump to the correct pressure. Whether it is a sign of aging to have the air leak out during the night or this is normal I do not know. I would enjoy it while it last and put aside a little money for when it goes.

Here is a few other threads in relation to your suspension.

sounds like there's a leak in either one of the air springs or lines.

ha, wasn't expecting a leaking air strut already. I think I can get by as long as it inflates back up after starting the car.

You can still but the floor mats at the dealer but they're pricey. My sister paid $160 for her GS400. I still have my originals and i'm always keep them in tip-top shape, but i'll need to buy a set before they discontinue them :P

The OEM floormats are under the clear vinyl ones. They're pretty clean, the driver one is worn though. I like having the vinyl when it rains.
