Default Raising Re Sell Price Of LS's

It's been a year now since I scored my 1 owner FL 2000 LS 400 with only 53 K Miles. Being a car guy I still like to Browse Autotrader. Couldn't help but notice the price increases on LS 400's in just a year. I guess there is a boom in the used car market with the economy but Damn I'm seeing LS's with a lot higher mileage for 3K or 4K more than I paid for mine at a Lexus dealer.

Some Pics of my car.

I paid $8,000 for mine with only 67,000 miles. KBB and the asking price you see in auto trader are not reflective of what many cars are actually being sold for. The economy still very much sucks and there are tons of used cars out there that you can pick up for a pretty good deal. There is another 99 with 95k I test drove 3 weeks ago that is still for sale and asking price is $8500. 13k with 152,000 miles.... Give me a break!

How about this one....14K for 57k. Perfect color combination and looks great, but doesn't have namakachi. This is the only LS I've seen with fake wood stick on trim. The factory wood is tasteful, now it just looks awful.

Some people negotiate a lower buying price. They can list it for whatever they want. It might sell or it might sit.

Good looking car. I would not pay more then $11,500 for it though. Still needs $1,500.00 in the full timing belt service.

resell on these cars aren't that bad versus say a 2GS. those cars have a better resale value, though i'd much rather own an LS. plus we have v8s and at these gas prices, the market is limited.
