Whats up CL!
thought id post some recent pics of my UCF10 progress. Car was totaled out in a not so nice meet and greet with a semi. but slowly its making its way back to life.
here we go...
.....more pics to come. some before's and during the reconstruction but thats how she sits now.
Mind you the car had severe front end damage. All new front clip and core support/crumple zones were grafted on.

Thanks for the input guys! Need some help finding the paint code on the black sand pearl for the 2010 is250's.
Car is going into paint soon.(as soon as the wald kit gets in) and i like to know what im talking about alittle before i go into a place to buy things,
I think its #209 but im not sure.
But also a list of things currently done to the car
Bi-HID kit in 8k with modded reflector housings for a better pattern .
Fog light mod with no sheathing on the bulbs them self and 100w h3 bulbs
Blacked out tail's...for now ordered some red/clear/red lights
Full tune up done at 130k mi (timeing belt, water pump, all that good stuff.)
Cat back done with 2.5 mandrel bent stainless tucked close to the chassis (plain to go LOW)
swaped the stock cloth seats for some tan leather seats out of a 95 ucf20.(all power movements work +memory)....that was FUN...
dyed the faded brownish green interior to black.
and the wheels factory 2006 350z wheels wrapped in Goodyear g-force 225/45/18

Bi-HID kit in 8k with modded reflector housings for a better pattern . 8k will have less actual light output than the stock halogens and be overly ricey blue. 6000k is the highest i would go as a trade off from light output and color (it's quite white). stock lexus (later years) has been 4300-4500k hid. With the advent of clear headlights like the "Eagle eyes" there's no reason to mod the reflector (which will still give you a poor pattern) when you can install a proper HID projector. You can get FX-Rs for <$150 lol.
Fog light mod with no sheathing on the bulbs them self and 100w h3 bulbs 100w bulbs will burn your harness so you will need to beef it up substantially, and then the housings were never designed for that much heat. an HID kit in the fogs will give you more output with less heat and power draw. no sheathing (reflector?) will give you a bad pattern and glare into every oncoming car.
Blacked out tail's...for now ordered some red/clear/red lights Blackout tails rarely look great, and are almost universally illegal to the point of if you get into a wreck (even if you get rear ended) and the opposing insurance brings up the lack of rear reflectors (they won't work with the lenses blacked out) you will be given full fault for the accident and possibly more...

Cat back done with 2.5 mandrel bent stainless tucked close to the chassis (plain to go LOW) Do a little searching on the exhaust thread. 2.5" is too big, and will cause a marked decrease in exhaust flow velocity, killing your low-end torque. go 2.25" dual (with X- or H- pipe) for your mostly stock 1uz, unless you go with a major power-adder.

make sure it's all mounted up properly, apparently works reasonably well when you switch the UCF1x rails onto the UCF2x seats.

yeah i noticed that 8k hid's are too blue for my taste and a little dim. I baked the housings apart at first to restore them. but i got carried away and added a reflector bezel from a set of after market 240sx headlights witch made the pattern far more broad than stock. ill see if i have pics of what i did. Im satisfied with the results.
as for the 2.5 exhaust... that was planning ahead i plain to toss the stock eaton S/C off of my fathers lightning on the car as soon as i find the time to do the loads of research.
i know they dont make an intake to fit it for the 1uz...But if i forgot to mention im a CNC programmer. so a work around for that may come to life.
