AUDIO PPL Please Help!!!! pioneer double-din wont power up
1993 ls400
pioneer avh-p2300
so the stock stereo works when its plugged in. but plugging in the pioneer i dont get anything
used the sosche kit recommended on the tutorial.
thinking 2 things...
i didnt connect the wires properly together?
or
i think it may be the way i grounded the wires? i attached the grounds from the deck wire to the sosche harness, grounded it next to another wire being grounded by the passenger leg.
i attached the green parking brake wire to the ground bc it said it can also be grounded instead of hooking it to the parking break wire?

Kinda hard to tell by the pics. But do this: Take the ground wire from the Pioneer harness, and just wire it directly to the Scosche harness. Make sure you have your constant 12v and your switched 12v wired properly as well. Leave the parking break ground undone for now. Make sure the head unit powers up properly. Once you know that is all working, then just take your parking break ground wire coming off the Pioneer harness and just chassis ground it. That should solve your problem. If not, let me know, there maybe something else going on.

one last question..
i wrapped and taped the parking break wire around a metal part of the chasis but still wont let me view video things (all i want is photos)
so would it be better to wrap it around a screw going into the chasis?

Yeah, make sure you solid mount your ground. Like emarknot, use an eyelet and fasten it down using an existing screw, or just find your own location. Chances are you don't have a solid ground, and once you get a good ground, everything should work just fine.

if you want to view video while the car is moving youre going to have to use a relay or buy a prewired relay/bypass setup on ebay. I made my own relay switch with an avh 3300. Look it up on google.

Not the exact model but its all the same for the newer gen pioneers.

Bypass on my avic f700 only required a repin on the harness to work.
