Good luck with your car. I think you'll find it far more capable than being a beater and with only 162K on it, it's a baby considering these cars will easily reach 300K+ without a problem. I have a 96 with 200K on it. I bought it five years ago with 38K on it, so most of those miles have been put on by me. Outside of a fuel pump failure, all I've had to do is basic maintenance.

Welcome.
If you get some ice and snow, you'll love the traction control!
I've made use of several times already this winter.

here are some pics

back end is low because the springs are junk ,i believe the car was originally equiped with air suspension vin uf11
so ill be looking for coilovers not sure if ill go stock or with something like megan ez, also need new rear strut rods(trailing arms) or if i can find the bushings then ill replace those not sure if they make aftermarket or not so far only been able to find oem. the right rear muffler pipe is bent also giving the muffler the angle its got now and i got exhaust leaks at the outlet flange on the cats so ill have to replace those. needs a hoodlatch, release cable and handle as well as hood struts and typical climate control lcd/bulbs.so far thats my list of things to do so ill be on the market around here hopefully ill be able to find some things =) just got a fresh oil change with full syn and toyota oil filter (had a fram in there ugh)

Traction control sucks!!!!! I always have mine off. If I'm in a spin/slide I want to be able to hit the gas and counter spin out of the slide. Also, when you're sitting at a light on a slight uphill and the traction control kicks in b/c the tire starts to spin, it just cuts out all the power to the wheels and then you're STUCK and can't go up the hill. Garbage.
