Cool Got some work done now my power seems down!

Hey guys,

Got some work done today on my 2000 LS400

Had the Valve Cover Gaskets replaced, new Iridium spark plugs, new fuel filter and drain and refill on the tranny (3 qts)...

Now the car just doesn't seem the same....it seems almost like the tranny isn't as eager to downshift when I give it a good amount of throttle when normally it would downshift and haul....This is the second time I have done the drain and refill on the tranny....didn't noticed anything different the first time......Any ideas?

Also how do I reset the PC on these cars? Is it as simple as a negative terminal pull?

it was reset that's why it feels funny.

drive it around for a few hundred miles, it'll relearn your habits.

^^^^That's what I'd say. This is another thing I like about these cars, they learn your habits and adjust to the way you drive.
I hope it doesn't learn ALL my habits.

LOL, When disconnecting the battery, the car seems to be overly sensitive following. May be because I drive far to timid.

Whatever "learning" the 98-00 LS transmission does or "memory" it has is based on a relatively low number of the most recent shift cycles - not hours or days of driving unless one is driving under conditions where the transmission rarely shifts.

What kind of fluid did they use in the tranny? Anything other than Toyota stuff is going to screw it up. Did you do the work or someone else?
