Default Help-car won't start due to stock alarm

Need some advice on how to get my car started.. I've been having problems with it lately. It usually immobilizes the car when the trunk is opened b4 i disarm the car or when someone opens the car b4 i disarm it.(rear pass. Door lock actuator is broken)
I usually can start it after waiting 15 mins and using the key to turn it to lock twice then unlock twice.. Last night, i couldnt get it to start as it was immobolized. The weird thing is that the alarm didnt even go off. Please let me know if anyone knows how i can get it started.

Ive disconnected the battery overnight and still no luck

This just happened to me this morning and was ready to search for other answers b/c everything I did just didn't work. It was blowing my mind b/c most other times I just unlocked the passenger door with the key and it would start. This hasn't happened for a while. Today I was in a rush and opened the trunk without disabling the alarm.
It finally started after many times of trying. The last time I tried I had the key in and tried starting (nothing) I left the key in the on possition for about 15-20 seconds, turned the key and it started. I hate this whole security system of the Lexus.

As far as mine ('97) goes when I trip it: I've used either the driver door key cylinder to manually lock-unlock it. Locked then unlock with remote and key into the ignition cylinder. I would suspect the routine is similar for the 98-00 since these also have the transponder key.

immobilize as in the starter wont turn over or it will but the car won't start?

Because the immobilizer was changed for '98, no longer a starter kill. instead the theft prevention uses an EFI kill.

That's how my 93 was, everything worked when key in the on position. But when ya turn the key there's nothing, like a dead battery. 2 times that this happened with mine I tried everything and then just let it sit for an hour or so and it started right up, friggin' weird.

Just tried mine with the dead key (non transponder), car cranks but that is it. The theft prevention system aside, I wonder if it could be a starter relay or starter issue?

yeah that's the one year starter immobilizer/transponder setup that was only in the '97s

Wild thought, how is the battery in your remote?

the transponders are passive RFID tags afaik, no battery required.

My 1990 has been having issues for the last two years with the alarm. It will suddenly go off for no reason so I have to go unlock it and leave it unlocked so it won't go off constantly. I'm getting a new aftermarket alarm here soon and having the Lexus alarm disconnected all together.

Mine just acted up again but for only one turn of the key this time. I unlocked with the remote, put the key in and turned it leaving it in the start position for 1 second (that's usually what it takes to start) and nothing happened. I sat there just long enough to punch the steering wheel and yell "WTF, this piece of **** garbage", then turned the key again and it fired right up. I don't get it. Maybe the battery was just cold? (was in the teens last night) Like yesterday, I left the key turned in the on position for a few seconds and it started.
