i noticed theres a leak cause evey day i put in 1/4 of a gallon of water in the radiator. i looked around for it but cant find it anywhere, but see the drip, looks like it comming from the back of the motor by the firewall. still have heat and no water leakin inside on passenger floor so its not the heater core i hope, could there be hoses besides the heater core?

oil is lookin great. gold in color cause i just changed it 4 weeks ago and the colant fush and thermostat i did before the summer hit.

Disappearing coolant is a concern so getting a BHG out of the way first is a relief. With the car running, is the leak obvious? Did it leak prior to the cooling system maintenance?

If it didn't, check the thermostat housing to make sure it is properly torqued and sealed to the manifold. As well, the reservoir cap gasket is in good shape. When I do the 30K coolant and thermostat change, I check the cap and at 60K it is replaced just to be sure.

i am having the same issue, i have a 1991 lexus ls400 200,000+ miles i cant seem to figure it out, please let me know if you were able to solve your problem and if you did what was the issue??

It could be a number of things, but the easiest answer is to pressure test the system, and find the problem, rather than guessing.

bad news its my heater core.....i found the oem part, but does anyone know what the oe replacement part would be???
