Default 91 ls400 replacing both inner and outter tie rods

Im replacing the inner and outter tie rods. I just wanted to know if there is anything else I can replace while im doing this that won't be too bad and costly to replace?
Thanks

May as well do the lower ball joint since you will have them half disconnected anyway. Do you have original tie rods? How many miles?

Depending on the mileage of your LS and the service history/last time you replaced other suspension/steering parts, I'd recommend replacing the lower ball joints while you're there. (Unless they were replaced not so long ago)...Here's a link to some affordable OEM balljoints. I'm located in So-cal and it came to approx. $111 (for BOTH) shipped to my door. Goodluck!

The front strut rod "cushion(s)" are quite pricey (varies between 130-150 EACH) but their installation is not too difficult. Balljoints and tie rods are definitely a lot more involved. My mechanic installed the cushions several years ago (i provided the parts) and he completed both within 15 minutes. If you're using handtools, it will require more time and effort. Remember to search here and via the web for the best prices on these parts. Sewell Lexus, Carson Toyota and Ebay are all your friends. lol...
Cheers!

They are easy to take off unless the car has spent alot of its life in snow country. In that case the front bolts can become seized to the sleeve in the bushing and no amount of force will break it loose because the rubber in the bushing will "give" and spin before it breaks loose. I had to cut mine out with a torch.

My rear lower shock mount bolt was also seized to the sleeve. In that case I was able to use a hand grinder to cut the bolts out.

Ok well I have not replaced any ball joints yet. I have 216,000 miles and I have done the actual struts on the front, new rotors brakes and calipers, I have had on cushion replaced drivers side. Are there any good tutorial online to get a good grip on where its located and what I need to do? Thanks

why are you replacing inner/outer tie rods and not just rebuilding the rack too?

How difficult is it to replace the rack? and where can I get one for a great price? any online tutorials?

The symptoms are that the wheels shake a little and when you press the brake the steering wheel shakes./

....have the wheels balanced and the rotors cut.

unless there's visible play and/or leaking seals/boots you shouldnt need to replace anything in the steering gear.

It sounds like it's the discs if it's when you touch the brakes.

Then did you feel any movement in the tie rods? when you rock the wheel?
