I called Jegs and westminster lexus and they all seem to have stopped selling the front strut rod busing for the 1995.I even called 2 lexus local dealerships and they only carry the whole bar.

At the time I did this, the whole bar assembly was only available. A few in the past had managed to get an individual part# for these bushings alone.. PD might be able to chime about aftermarket bushing availability.

$91 for a bushing at park place and $220 for a strut rod.

why would Jegs carry any oem parts

I bought mine from K3rry at Westminster not 2 months ago, and got the pair for less than what you quoted for one.

not discontinued at all afaik.

yes, HE quoted price for 2, at sewell they are 37.30 each for CL right now.

Nope, I specifically asked him and he said that was for each.I then told him others are selling the bushin and rod for a lot less than them.Sewell said they stopped.The only place is Carson and only by internet order.

I called a few Lexus dealers and longo, claremont, and puente hills toyota have all told me that they no longer sell the bushings by itself and they sell the whole assembly/bar with the bushing. Anyone know where we can find just the strut rod bushings?

Is this a common problem? I have a 96 ls400 and mine makes a thumping when I hit the brakes? I'm thinking from what I see on here its the same issue. Can someone enlighten me?

amazing, still no one can answer , did your clunking sound go away ? before I spend thousands of dollars chasing it, I may op to sell, even though I love the car, it's driving me crazy, and it still clunks, poor design on Lexus part !

Every place I've tried also gave me the "only whole bar" runaround, so I gave up and have lived with my continuously deteriorating strut rods for the past five years.
