We had a great discussion a few months back on cleaning leather that was started by Horta, I think. Soft Scrub (with lemon, not "BLEACH") was recommended and tried by a number of members. The results were reported to be excellent. Would love to hear from people that used Soft Scrub, now a month or two later. Maybe we can get updates from a few. Try your search button. Good Luck.

Default Soft Scrub

I used the soft scrub on my car and it came out great but one thing to be concerned is it left white residue afterwords. my leather is cream color so it doesn't show much. i would not use it on darker color leather though. keep that in mind.

Default soft scrub,, black leather

i used soft scrub on my wifes 93 LS. black leather. The white powdery residue is clearly visible, it simply takes a little more time to wipe up. It's best to wipe up as much as possbile, let it dry, then vaccum up.

the result is the grit of the softscrub digs out the caked in dirt from the pores of the leather. the dirt is mostly dead skin cells and other nasty stuff. utterly disgusting! the clean up water in my bucket became very opaque and gray. smelled like old dirty sneakers.

it's a good thing to do, but it may gross you out. f
