What's this device in the trunk?
Put my BC Racing shocks on yesterday.. These need to be extended a lot out of the box, especially on the front.
I found some device in my trunk, just next to the fuel tank.

There's a connector coming from the oem wire loom next to it that could plug in the top of the device, but I have no clue what it is or what it does.
There's a black hose/wire coming out going into the rear wheel well.
I'd like to reconnect it, but before I do I'd like to know what it is and what it does. I have a problem with my ABS and TRAC, so maybe it's related to that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

it might be an inertia switch to cut off the fuel pump after an impact. what year is your car?

I don't know for sure but if it's unhooked, try plugging it in and see what happens. Maybe it has something to do with your rear defogger not working that you posted in the other thread.

I can hardly imagine somehting having a wire running to the wheel well causing any issues with the defogger, but indeed worth a try connecting it.
I'll try to find out where the wire/hose is going first, maybe that gives a clue
Edit: simple, it appears to be the height control valve..
Just went through the repair manual again looking for a picture that looks like it.
Since I am running on bc shocks now I can/will remove it
Thanks for reading
