I have looked for a while and have yet to find a credible source of information on a complete list of fault codes for my 96LS. wanting to print them to put in the car. any links or help is a big thanks.

Your 96 LS uses OBDII codes which are common for all models using this diagnostic code system a google search will provide all the common codes, there are some specific manufacture codes but these are not normally needed on a general diagnosis.
I can't understand why you want to keep a copy in the car as you will then need a code reader to go with them and a full set of tools and spare parts if you want to do the repair when a code flags up.
Do what most people do, check the codes if and when the management light comes on, chances are if it does it won't leave you stranded and it won't very often appear on a Lexus!

How long of a while did you look, 10 seconds? Maybe not b/c I found this in 10 seconds; http://engine-codes.com/make/lexus That's only 1 of the many that showed up, but you only need 1. I also don't understand why you would keep it in the car b/c it doesn't tell you what to fix. For that you would have to search.
