Need Help with Megan EZ Coilovers 98 LS400
Hello,
I have installed Megan EZ Coilovers along with new upper and Lower Ball joints. When I installed them they were set at Factory Setting. When I took my car off the Jacks Stands my wheel was so far up the front fender that I could not move the steering. I understand they need to be raised and I prefer close to factory height however I can't raise the front by more and an 1"! Im twisting the thread with latex rubber gloves counter clockwise but im at the point where there is just too much resistance.
I thought about just taking the lower bolt out so that i can twist without resistance but the problem is that to achieve factory setting I won't be able to get it back into the bracket because the stabalizer bar isconnected to the bottom assembly and the stablizer links almost never come off properly with out grinding off the bolt and nut. So please help me .. maybe im just too dumb to figure out another way............

Just did mine last weekend, if you don't want or can't take out the lower bolt than take the small spanner wrench that came with your coilovers and turn the small collar on the upper or spring preload......this should turn the threaded shaft up without messy with the preloaded setting...make sure you loosen the lower perch collar before you do this, is still a pain in the *** but if your wheels are in the air it's not bad.
Remember not to go up past the sight holes with the threaded shaft which is stated in the directions!
Fyi I doubt you will get to stock height without bumping the preload up, I raised mine to max (at sight holes) and it was still right at the top of stock tires.
here's the front as high as I could go without using the pre-load adjustment!

There is not going to be a sway bar problem...Just unbolt the bottom and twist it by hand. Thats the easiest...then put the bolt in and nut just enough to make sure the bolt doesnt slip out. Put about 2-3 lug nuts on the rim and drop the car down slowly. If every thing looks right tighten everything...if not at least you didnt make it hard to adjust it again.

sweet... and did you happen to have any camber issues with the rear? like exessive tire wear? I just wonder, cuz if I go with a set like these, I'd like to be around the same height and not have to get adjustable control arms or something... or ride stock height
