I think I remember someone talking about moving this when putting in a sub-woofer box in the trunk. I think it's in the trunk attached, or close to, the rear window deck. Just something to point out, you say it's for a 2000 but the link shows a 95. Hope that helps ya.

That would be your charcoal canister. It goes under the front bumper.

95 thru 2000 all the same...
what happened, lady ran over a shredded tire on road, bounced around under car and came out, a minute later this piece flew out, she stopped and brought it in, we called sewell with the part number off the item, they had it. we bought it and got under the car to put it on.??????? cant find it, lookes under my 99, dont see it... Thinking out loud.. if the trie hit it, it should br visible.... it is called a CHARCOAL CANISTER TANK ASSY,

Oops, If it came from under the car it sure aint in the trunk. I guess I was wrong. It happens once in a while. I always thought they were close to the fuel tank on the Lexus'. Is she sure it came off her car, or was it maybe in the road and she ran that over thinking it was a shredded tire?

That part does fit 95-2000. However that picture is up to a 99. The 2000 model's charcoal canister is by the fuel tank. The 2000 model picture of that part shows it in the front of the car as well. Try looking at Sewell's picture for a 2000 and see if that helps.

This is confusing me. I was looking at the 2000 manual, and it shows this charcoal canister on the fuel tank, so I was sorta right before.

it literally attaches to the front bumper with a single (iirc) vacuum line running to it.

usually recognized as that convenient shelf with a ton of dirt/crap on it that then falls on you when you accidentally jostle the damn thing when under the car.

I got alot of time on my hands (still unemployed) so I just looked at any and all pics for the front of the car b/c "LSproject" said "That would be your charcoal canister. It goes under the front bumper." I didn't look it up with any part number or anything and Idk about any manual from Sewell.
