Questions about moving to LED exterior bulbs
Hey~
Well my burned out tail light sensor light has come on, and well I want to move to LED bulbs I like the way they look. However I need to know what color would be best for the Red Tail/Brake lights, Red or White, and the orange Turn Signals front and rear Amber or White? I want it to look as normal as possible. Also does the 1994 LS use 1156 or 1157's in the rear and or front. SO has anyone moved to LED's in the LS? If so how do they look, are you happy with the way they look? and is there a particular brand I should look for? Ok thanks everyone!
Paul

Ledtronics.com
Is where the bulbs are.
But LED "bulbs" don't draw enough current to turn off the burnt bulb diagnostic, you will have to add some resistors in parallel, or cover the diagnostic indicator with black electrical tape like I did.

I just went to that site and they are saying $48 each for the LED bulbs , and today I went to Auto Zone and saw what appeared to be the same LED light for $15.00 a pair , why is that so much more ? and is the burnt out tail light indicator in the socket ?
Thanks,
Paul

Not the same..
But you'd need to see each to really tell the difference.
Ledtronics color ones are 100 lumens
White is 125 lumens.
The Lexus series detects a blown bulb by "measuring" ("window" comparator) the voltage drop across a small resistor in series with the B+ (battery) side of the supply voltage.

94 LS 400 rear lights
The rear light assy on the 94 LS uses (2) 1157 & (1) 1156. I changed all 3 bulbs while I had the assy out of the car. Don't quote me (because I don't remember) I think the brake lights are 1157 and the turn signals are 1156. I do not know anything about LED's.
Good Luck
