Fitment question - 18x7.5 +35 on '00 LS400?
Hi guys,
I've been searching and searching but most of the fitments discussed here are either OEM wheels (LS430 etc) or the big VIP ones that require rolls, pulls, etc. and I've had a lot of trouble finding information about fitments that fall in between the two. In my search for something between the two - something that looks classy on an LS400 but doesn't require me to alter the car for it to fit - I found a set of Work Emotion CR-Kais in 18x7.5 +35. The bolt circle is correct, 5x114.3. Would that fit the car and look decent, keeping in mind that I need something I can drive daily in a city with lousy roads? Flush is nice but "looks decent and doesn't scrape" is much more important to me.
They're currently set up with 225/40/18 tires which I'd read in another thread were too small for a 1LS, and I'm assuming for a 2LS also. But if the price were right, I suppose I could replace them with a more appropriate size.
Oh yeah, another question: they don't have all the little Work stickers on them, so I'm nervous about whether they're real. How do I tell a refinished Work from a fake? Do the fakes actually have the word Work cast into them, or do they just rip off the style?
Thanks in advance!

I thought about LS430 5-spokes, and they're not bad at all, but I was wondering if I'd rather go with something a bit sportier. Thanks for the input btw!

Oops. Thanks for your patience with my questions - despite all the searching, I think it's pretty easy to see how new I am at the wheel game.
Going back to what PureDrifter said about 18x8, +40 being a reasonably conservative fitment, I looked up the G35 wheels and they're 18x8, +30. This means they're 10mm more sunk, right?
