Transmission Filter, drain plug and Gasket question.
I’m getting a transmission filter kit from AutoHausaz. Which one would be better, the one by Mark Automotive or the one by CRP? The Mark Automotive one is more expensive; both come with a pan gasket so I would not need to use FIPG. I could also just get the filter by OES Genuine and use a FIPG.
Also is the oil drain plug gasket the same one that’s used on the transmission drain plug?
Thanks

I ordered more expensive Mark Automotive. The pan gasket appears to be better.
I also ordered 2 oil drain plug gaskets hoping one can be used for the transmission drain plug as well.

I dont think it matters but transmission use a soft copper gasket http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...1999/2627.html

Hmm, interesting, can the tranmission one be re-used or should it be replaced? I am not leaking anything right now, just figured I would replace it since it is easy.

best to always replace the drain plug gasket on the transmission pan
I like to replace it every time as it lessens the chance of over-tightening the drain plug, which strips easily.
