Default well i just purchased a ucf10

some of you guys might have seen me in the GS forums. my car is in my sig but it has m6 wheels now. anyways i got t car for a super duper steal of 400 BUX lol. yes you heard right 400. i mean the car is that really dark green color. it has the nakamichi system, heated seats, factory air and sport mode as far as factory options went.

the car will need some work. like new front driver side fender, realignment of the front driverside, new front door panels on the inside. the car only has 136k miles so im hoping the factory air doesnt crap out at which im sure it will .

so if the factory air looks good im going to with a datasystems controler if anyone has one used hollla!! i want some 18x10 and 18x11 or 12 in single dight offsets. maybe a mk4 LSD if it will benefit me any. entire stereo will be dumped for a new one. unless the stock nakamichi can be used for anything lol. MOST of all i want a motor swap done. either a LS1 or a 2jzgte. but i really want the raw power of a v8 in a big body sedan. my choice is really leaning towrds the LS1 lol. but ill see. of course i will get a custom exhaust built for this.

anyways i thought i would share that i am a new LS owner and share what i have instore for this car. so for right now if anyone has any other sites or info i should know please do fill me in. i have been researching the car lately so anything would help

i can lol but i dont want to boost. plus the motor in the car isnt running. The previous owner said it was working weeks before i bought it and when i tried to crank it it would turn on this slow die. I cranked it again just clicking sounds. try to jump the car and it still clicked. i wouldnt mind boosting but i dont know if i would get the same numbers i would want out of a LS1 being NA

Unlike the down under crowd, there isn't as much experimentation. I've not been reading their forums for a spell but I suspect that by now there has been a 430 driveline transplant. This would be interesting when placed into the 1-LS.
This would enable the car to be all Toyota too.

I thought I saw a vid of an LS1 powered LS400. Will have to look more.

Ok so having problems getting my car started it has spark and it's getting fuel. I replaced the dist caps, plug wired, and ignition rotors, car still won't start ! We tried everything. Does anyone else have any idea what I might be able to check??

It cranks but just doesn't start. When we replaced the caps it started for a split sec then died. I don't know

Did you check the timing marks to see if it jumped time? When mine jumped time and I was checking everything, (before I knew it jumped) if I let it sit a few days it would fire for a second or two and just die. Also, did you check the crankshaft sensor?

...does the CEL come on with the key in? if not are all the ECU grounds connected?

if you answered yes then look into:
-TIMING BELT alignment
-plugs
-dist. rotor position/alignment
-firing order (wires on cap and going ot the right plug/cylinder)
-wiring from all the damaged areas of the body

i have several more areas on my mind but what exactly did you do between the last time you started it and it not starting?
