Default 2003 Ls430

I've been considering purchasing a luxury car, and have been very impressed by the LS430 (vis a vis the BMW 745i and the MB S500). I've been seeing discounts of about $2-$3k on the '02 LS430 with the Mark Levinson/Navigation system, and think the pricing is fairly reasonable for the amount of car one gets. Nevertheless, I was wondering if a) there are any changes in store for the 2003 LS430, and b) will they still discount the '03 LS430 quite as much? My dealer says that the discounts will be gone then, and that the car will remain exactly the same, but I've found it best not to entirely trust the salespeople. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

The LS430 is a very nice piece of machinenary. I do not think the discounts will last either. The Lexus models usually get a new design every four years, so I do not think anything will change, but I do here the 2004 four might be a have larger engine possible a V-12 or a supercharged version.

Default 4 years?

Wow, that's quite an early re-design. I'd gotten used to the 7 years of most German models ... if the entire chassis is changing within 4 years of release, I might need to rethink the purchase!

form the history of L, hp will be bumped in ~2004 model yr(comes out in late 03)...but the overall design will remain similar, "maybe"..some minor color changes....

LS usually looking at total redesign of ~8 yrs...

btw, here in LA, nav+ml pkg for 02s are ~$5-6k discount....

Welcome to ClubLexus.

By the way, the E55AMG is a very nice vehicle too.

As for the 2003 LS430, there will not be any major body and engine modifications, if not at all noticible.

I'm not too sure if Lexus will be selling early like they are doing with the 2004 GS, but I will find out.

Thanks,

Ethan

Default LS430

Well, if the lifecycle is between 4 and 8 years, I'm pretty much sold on the car. I think it's best described as "Driving a cloud." An unbelievably incredible car!

Default Nothing big planned til 2006

From automotivenews.com, they have no major changes til 2006.
"LS 430: Lexus boss Denny Clements has revived the rumor of a $100,000 sedan, saying Toyota is studying whether to join the segment that includes the Mercedes-Benz S class. The automaker might stretch the current LS 430 and add a V-12 engine borrowed from the Japan-market Century or select the new 5.5-liter V-8 that is under development. Then again, it might wait for the redesign, which is slated for the 2006 model year. "

What are the differences between the 2002 and 2003 LS430s? I can't seem to find any, but was hoping someone here can enlighten me.

Ack!! I should've checked the front page of clublexus.com! Should stop linking directly from the e-mails to the forum.

What's the difference between clearance sonar and intuitive parking assist?
