Thanks

My cover is even across the engine, but I did notice it made contact with the insulation under the hood of my 91. I then decided to remove the insulation because it was scuffing the paint I put on the cover.

Mo.

Mine seems to be the egr valve keeping it too high on that side. Was you able to use the bolt in front for the coil pack? I ordered two back bolts and the bracket but wont be here till next thursday. I think it looks good in silver.

Thanks I was thinking silver gives it a nice lil pop when you open the hood instead of the standard dirty black.

I did an emmisions removal on my LS and completely removed my EGR but I used spacers to line the bracket back up. I know the 96 I pulled from had a different outter egr but the inner part that bolts closest to the engine looks to be the same and shouldn't cause any problem.

I didnt run into a problem where I did have to adjust the ign coil bracket a little to get that bolt to line up by pushing it upward at the point nearest the front of the car. I do have about a 1/4 inch gap between the bracket and the the cover but it can barely be noticed.

Ok, thanks i didnt see a photo of the motor without the cover on it. I figured that the egr had to be adjusted or removed. Doubt i will do that i may have to alter the cover in that area.

Just fitted one to mine,I removed the Trac Cover and top spark plug wire cover (doesn't fit without doing this?) then fitted the bracket to the EGR blanking plate (no EGR on this one as a JDM import).
Moved the studs around and fitted the cover.

Bracket and nuts and bolts came in today. Did a test fit. The EGR just makes it alittle high on that side. But overall okay. Anyways you never see the cover all the time. Might cut out the area where the egr sits. maybe.
