i have a 1990 ls 400 and the driver door will not unlock with the key or by hand or by power lock button it is stuck shut and wont open have to crawl acroos from passanger side any one got an idea how to get door open?

sounds like either the linkage and/or the door lock actuator is broken, you'll have to take the panel out to see whats going on. if you can hear the actuator clicking or trying to work when you lock/unlock the car that's one less thing to worry about.

i cant get the door panel off because i cant get door open so do you have any other sugestions and yes it sounds like the accuater is trying to do something but wont unlock so i can get the door open

Find someone that has a "slim jim". Ya might be able to slide it down the window and grab the rod. It all depends on what is broke inside. I never tried it with the LS so Idk if it will actually work but it's worth a shot.

Winding the window fully down and removing the trim/seals on the top of the window aperture then using a flashlight to see inside may help you to get to the rods that operate the lock.
Last resort is an air saw to cut off the lock tang attached to the door frame!
