Possible trade for a 98-00 LS400
Am considering trading my 98 sc300 for an 98-00 LS400 I have liked the ls model for sometime and my dad used to own one.And the other day i spotted a midnight blue 98+ ls with yellow fog lights and was dropped that caught my attention My SC300 is stock other than coil overs and hids has about 86k miles beautiful car i love it but i also like the ls400

man you have one clean SC, personally i would probably hold onto it, depends on what you need, do you want a car with aftermarket potential or something you can drive more for the comfort, not to say the sc isnt comfy but i would say my ls is smoother than my buddys soarer

I think it depends on where you are in life. If you're young, and still desperately seeking the approval of your peers then stay with the SC. If you're young but "mature" and looking for ultimate comfort choose the LS.
It's like wearing shoes on your feet that are/look "cool/popular/trendy'' at the expense of comfort.
Vs shoes that arent as ''cool/popular/trendy'' but super comfy.
My .02
Bottom line dont do it for us do it for you. What decision will make you the happiest? Who cares what other people think. Look at the pros and cons of both.
Get your mind right and it will be an easy choice.
Nice SC by the way.

If ya like the LS, it is a nice car. There have been countless discussions about the age of the drivers and depends which perception you want. Plenty of peeps rock 4 doors. The JDM scene they are readily accepted. In fact, I've seen plenty of young guys/gals in luxo barges. The LS400 owners now are pretty young. I've had 4 door cars since I was 20 and to me, they are purposeful cars.
Buy the car for you and the uses you have in mind. Like clothes if you can play that way...different ride for the mood.
Clean looking SC.

Not likely I'll sell it. A project car if I can ever figure out what I want to do with it. Keep it stock or go modern. Then figure out how much $ it is going to bleed me. A 2GR-FSE 3.5L would be really fun and even the 4GR-FSE 2.5L would be Old school would be a dual Mikuni or Weber carb set-up. Modestly built it will get maybe 170-190HP and suck gas worse than an SUV. The new engines do it all around better. Anyway...
As for the OP, keep the SC and save for an LS.
