LS400 1998 dash error code EFI 19 meaning
I own a non-US (no OBD2) model 1998 LS400 that gets the occasional limp mode + check engine light.
Limp mode also gets triggered after pressing the gas pedal too far, then the throttle stops responding and it gets into limp mode until restart/battery disconnect
After shorting E1 and Tc on the diagnosis port in the engine bay I get the following code: EFI: E NG 19
Would anyone be kind enough to tell me what that means I searched all over without any luck
The car had a permanent limp before with the same pedal issue that was fixed for few months after replacing ECU capacitors
I'm not sure if its the same ecu issue or a new one
Thank you

The part 22060-50010 for a 98 is discontinued and no longer available but 22060-50011 would be suggested to use by a dealer.

Sounds like a problem of the APPS. The quickest way to fix would be to replace it.

The TCCS code 19 is related to following 3 items.
・Wire harness or connector
・APPS
・ECU
When the APPS is not the cause, 2 others may be related.
VC, VPA, VPA2,E2 are all terminals of the APPS.
As far as I have experienced, all the TCCS code 19 failures were fixed replacing the APPS so far.

Problem was fixed, if anyone finds this same issue, turns out cable of the APPS connector was slightly cut, I cut and soldered the cable, added some shrink wrap and it was fixed.
