I haven't fixed the crack yet, I'm still developing a game plan.

Also, I used a UPS battery to jump the motor - there's a green plug in the front of the seat. Unplug that, jump the terminals with 12V. Otherwise, I would have used my Ridgid multitool to buzz the rails off.

I'm interested to take the panels under neath the steering wheel off and also around the instrument cluster in a LX 470. Has anyone done that?

I'm pretty sure someone in the LX forum has done this so why not check in there.

Pretty impressive in an hour, mine was a real pain in the butt to do it perfectly without breaking anything. I still haven't got the seatbelt plastic covers back on proper!

Ahhh california problems, paint fade and cracked dashes, no snow, no salt, no ice, just mountain biking all year round...but I digress!
