Default vsc

could someone tell me when the skid control and traction control come on i have a 98 ls400 but if i boot it the backend steps out quiet bad no lights come on the dash no warnings wheel spins too easily like the traction isnt working there are no fault codes showing the vsc light is off i put new avons on the rear the suspenssion is ok tried different pressures spoils a otherwise nice car any idears

A test you could try for verifying that VSC is working (or not) is to take your car to a large empty parking lot on a day when it is snowy/icy/raining and drive it vigorously in a circle until it spins out. If the VSC is working you will first see the flashing VSC light and when you are about to lose control you will hear a sharp beep-beep-beep alarm as VSC takes control of the throttle and braking.

On my similar 2000 LS400, traction control allows quite a bit of wheel spin.

thanks for that i think its mabe also because i havent driven a powerfull car for some time been driving vans but i will try that later
