Exclamation 91 Ls400 with a supercharged 350 chevy

I have a 91 Ls 400 with a two tone pearl paint job , rides so sweet all the room my 1 year old son needs in back seat. motor skiped timming belt and that was that. soon after i drove a srt8 charger and a light went of in my head why spend 30k on that when i can build better for way less and not look like every orther state trooper and or Ti wanna be. i bought a 4 bolt main 350 board 60 over forged pistons stock rods and crank stock heads with roller rockers cam kit and a b&m supercharger with 3 to 5 psi.im keeping the boost down tell i get better internals. the tranny is a 5 speed with a stage 2 clutch. My question is will rear hold the power and will it put it to the ground. the swap will be in by 01/10/11 pictures will be updated soon any help i would greatly appericate sponser are welcome my email is ididit_84@yahoo.com thank you

that is ghetto. But yes the rear will hold as much power, as a push and pull motor will make. why ruin a lexus with crap. I would sell the lex and go buy a camaro.

I thought the 94 and older 1UZ's were non-interference?

while it isn't my first choice it is the man's car and he did what he did with a very specific purpose.

the rear end should hold the power as an open diff, but definitely wont put it to the ground.

lol way more than the car's worth....
you're talking about converting a car with IRS to a solid rear axle....

Seriously? Why take a nice riding, quiet car and make it into a drag car? Why waste all you money on that? If your going to do this, just swap in the engine and trans and leave the rear end alone. Having custom 9" rear axle made is not cheap. You might as well get a 9C1 Caprice it has everything you need and for cheap!! Also you can pick up a 1UZ engine for cheap. Notice how I said "cheap" three times, that is a hint. Good luck on your project.

I'm not taking anyone's side on this one. Yes, there are other ways to go much "cheaper" but, if this is what he has his mind set on and what he wants to do, he's gonna do it. May not be worth it financially, but it would be priceless to him. (One of a kind) I was on a Grand Prix site where a guy spent thousands and thousands putting in a Northstar engine and rear wheel drive in an early 90s Grand Prix and it's been apart and together a few times. Why? Cause that's what he wanted to do. It's a project car. He's just getting information. Everyones mind works different.

Makes me think of all the cars that have 2JZ's in them. That is a boat load of $ but to each their own. My older buddy's now tell me to just go buy a Porsche, corvette...etc.

i have $1700 into a rust bucket 84 camaro that an older guy dumped a ton of money in and did most to the motor i added roller rockers, and cam, came with rebuild tranny car is shot thoe.... the rear set up i can get for $800 total but thanks for youlls helpful advice i think im going to leave whats in it. paint , bodywork, and mechanic work, i do my SELF with motor help by MAX at freeman auto in marathon. i have some major plans for the body. i am choping and lowering roof omost three inches. the rear wheel/wells are getting a lip to fit some street drag rad. to aid traction. the reasion for doing so is no one has yet to my knowledge done something like this and im am trying to show my true skill level and land a DREAM JOB TO MAKE THE BEST FUTURE FOR MY SON "unique auto, Paul Jr." or any orther great shop that i can contue to learn more. so $2000 spent in motor and tranny, for what will hopfully be a estimated 450hp Ls400 that should walk most streat cars in fl not to bad.... dont quote me on that hp thoe it is purely a gess but will update after dino
