Default New power steering pump, fast leak now

Yesterday a guy replaced my power steering pump on my 94 LS400. Now the ATF is pouring out. I didn't replace any hoses or new rack. I am not sure where it is coming from. Guy is coming over to look at it again. I gave this car to my son a few years ago who is in school and in Honolulu but moving to NM in June. He will be selling the car in June so hate to put more into it than necessary. Any suggestions?

check for loose hoses, start it up and see where it is coming from. Let us know where the general area it is "pouring" from.

What did he replace it with. I replaced mine with an aftermarket "brand new" ump off ebay. Was actually made in China or somewhere. The metallurgy was obviosly different from my oem one. Needless to say two weeks later the ATF was pouring out. The snap ring holding the pressure valve in place moved out of it's groove. Had to take to machine shop and have the cut me a new groove. Now fixed fingers crossed.

It's "pouring out" but you don't know from where????

Dry off all hoses, turn on car for just a few seconds, check for leak.

Default P/S Pump leak

Thank you everyone for your replies. The new pump is not an OEM. The mechanic came over, took the pump back out. Turns out he had accidently broken off one of the nipples on the air control valve and tried to epoxy it. I read on the forum that the valve wasn't necessary so I had him modify the bolt and close it off. So far no leaking and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks again. Mary
