Hey All with 98 or newer cars. Have any of you seen your A/C displays get like this.

Look at the letters in COLD and the air stregnth bars. Also look at the outside temp.

See how they are fading??? Is this a nown issue or one isolated problem??

In some of our older model ESs, we have had some problems with the display, it wasn't like yours though. I was where the color just faded from left to right, usually the green night time color. I haven't seen it like yours though, all I know to do is replace it.

Just to make things clear this is NOT my car. This is a car I was considering buying. I did not know if this is a know issue or not??

In the 1st generation 90-94 it was a known problem but not in the 2nd gen (95-97) or the 3rd gen (98-00) as far as I am aware of. I think it's an isolated problem.
