Hey Guys,
I'm a first time LS owner. I've had her for about 5 months now. Yesterday as i was getting onto the expressway, i hit the gas to accelerate and my car began to jerk and the check engine light started blinking! the RPM needle jumped between 1 & 2...after i let off of the gas, it stopped jerking and the CEL stopped blinking. This has happened twice since then. Does anyone have a cure? Thanks in advance!

A cure, not so much. However I will share that a blinking CEL is no good and often means that you have a misfire. When is the last time it has had sparkplugs,l caps, and rotors? Plug wires usually last more than the others, but some people like to change those up as well, I only change them if I need to. Check the plugs, and if their ok, it's almost just as easy to replace the cap and rotor as their like $20 for the kit. If your still having issues, than you could have a faulty injector, wiring, ecu, etc., but check the easy stuff first.

the plug/wires/etc have not been changed since i've owned it. I will definitely start there. Thanks for the advice!

ill bet its the traction control code.....just guessing here, btw its not an injector or misfire....cel wont come on due to misfire on gen1 or obd1 unless u have more than one issue. cel problem and misfiring
