Headlight Socket Fried
Good evening,
I was driving and notice that my right side HID bulb kept flickering and then it went out. I took a look under the hood and the wire had a short in it but I always keep a set of HID bulbs and ballast on hand just in case.... Well I tried them and nothing work, the light wouldn't come back on. I then tried a OEM bulb instead of the HID kit and still the OEM bulb would not power on. I took a look at my headlight socket (gray piece which you connect you're OEM bulb to) and I notice that the left port was fried so I take it that the socket is now trash.....
My question is, can I take the actual wire which run from the car to the socket and re-wire it to the HID black/red wire? I am just trying to figure out if the socket is needed or not..... If I can just rewire the lights which are connected to the socket and wire them to the HID black/red wires and I will be good to go.
Also I have the same issue with my FOG lights (yellow middle lights) the sockets are all fired. Can I just remove the wire from the socket and connect it directly to the wire coming from the bulb?
Note: The driver side HID is still working... So I didn't think it was the headlight fuse.

I got her fix and also had to swap out the left driver headlight fuse as well.
Quick question, can I also change the sockets for the fog lights? All of the OEM fog lights sockets are burnt out.
Thanks!
