Polyurethane bushes for cambering 91' LS

Default Polyurethane bushes for cambering 91' LS

Hey folks.

Got my new wheels on and need to camber a bit to make them fit perfectly. But the camber adjustment havent been touched since the day the car was build i think. So i can get the bolts off, but i can get it out of the bushes. They are rusted together. So if i do i will destroy the bushing.

I can buy new bushing at lexus for the camber but not for the toe adjustment. I have to buy the whole arm. I think the best thing will be to get them both changed but it will cost some money and im not into buying that whole arm cause that is not cheap at lexus. Havent heard them but at lexuspartsnow.com they cost $132 each.


the camber bushing is $39 so thats $78 and i cant get the toe bushing seperatelly.
$13 for each camber bolt and i need 4 so thats $52

So should i just find some polyurethane bushes while im at it. I found Superpro but they charge $413 for a set of both bushes and they also have more camber adjustment as you see on the picture:




But damn thats alot of money. And also i still need the 4 camber bolts so thats $465 for something i actually didnt want to spend money on.

Anybody have any other ideas and what would you do?

I can also buy a standard replacement with no extra camber adjustment but i still think they cost alot of money. Havent asked yet.

I completed this just two weeks ago on my 91LS. I bought the ADUS 583 kit and did both ends of the "camber arm" (lower control arm #2) and purchased new OEM "toe arms" (lower control arm #1). I bought all new hardware including cam bolts, washers, nuts, and the nuts for the outboard joint on arm #1. All of my cam bolts were frozen inside the bushings as well. Impossible to get them out. I ended up using a sawzall on each side of the cam bolts where they attach to the cross member frame. Took a while to cut through them. Tried using my air die grinder but my compressor doesn't have enough CFM for continuous cutting... It was a PITA. Below is everything I ordered, minus the ADUS 583's... The #1 arms are the same for L&R... I ordered through lexuspartsnow.com

Or is it this on? They dont look the same at all. The first one says 89-92 and this on 89-94 wtf? http://www.mybushings.com/lexus-ls-4...-kit-p-92.html

They also have the transmission mount. Nice. But dont know how good that is? Polyurethane is stiffer and so there will be more vibrations maybe. Not that i got vibrations now, but the transmission and engine mounts would be a good thing to replace at a time.

But for the 4 bushings it will be $194 plus shipping. Dont know if mybushings.com will ship to europe and what the price is but i also have to pay 25% in import taxes and maybe a small amount for tax handling.

And then i need the camber bolts too. thats plus $52 so the total woul be around $300. I save $165 but this is also the standard camber, the other one is able to adjust more camber. Dont know if i need it but would always be nice.

The other thing is that it takes some weeks to get things shipped from the us to europe, the other bushings were from uk and will only take about 3 days.

Hmmmm.....

You want the ADUS 583 kits for the lower control arm #2 (camber)...

This other one you chose appears to be the correct one for the #1 arm where it connects to the subframe. You might want to check the condition of the ball joint on this arm where it connects to the carrier to make sure you don't need to replace the whole arm with OEM. My 91LS had 97K on it when I replaced these and although the joints weren't that bad, they were loose / somewhat sloppy.

Pretty confussing. Would be alot easier with a picture and the names on. dont know what the upper rear arm or lower front is etc.

There is so many different bushings on that site. What are the yellow ones for?

The yellow ones are the rear "upper" contol arm bushings.
