Default Questions about dash lights on a 94 LS

I have a few lights that don't come on when I initially turn the ignition on. I thought in all cars that all the lights come on when the ignition is first turned on, some call it a bulb check.

One of them is the radiator / temperature light. There are 2 others close by, but I cant remember what they are, but they are right next to the radiator light (looks like a courthouse). They do come on while I am cranking the car, but not when I turn the ignition on.

Is this normal operation? Can anyone check their car when they start it for me... please! I have an issue with my car cranking but not starting and I am trying to cover all bases. I am trying to see if my ECU is bad as well as a few other things...

Thanks.

I have a 94 as well and just checked it for you. When I turn the ignition on the only lights that display are the ABS, Engine, Oil lights. The lights on the lower right hand side do no come on until you crank the engine. The "courthouse" light is the brake fluid resevoir I believe.

Thank you, I appreciate it. The courthouse light is for coolant.

Yes, its for low coolant. I had to unhook mine, wasn't working, would stay lit - cheap fix

I agree. The only lights that come on for my 1990 ls 400 are check engine, abs, and oil. I know my coolant light works, because it came on when I flushed the coolant last week. I started it after filling the radiator, and it stayed on until I added to the correct level.
